TEACHERS' VOLUNTEERING SCHEME
From 11th August 2016, Jungle Books, Darfur School. The School Bus Project and The Refugee Youth Service will be using the following volunteering system in order to speed up the process:

We hope this system will provide volunteers with a timely response and remove the current administrative burden from the various school administrators.

JUNGLE BOOKS LIBRARY

Jungle Books Library, Calais is looking for qualified/experienced French, English and Music teachers who are available to teach for two weeks or longer and who have a currents DBS check. We would especially love to hear from people with experience teaching English to children/teenagers and French to adults.

You can support Jungle Books and, more urgently, Jungle Books Kids' Restaurant which provides over 200 meals a day to the unaccompanied minors as well as giving them support and advice about asylum in a space which feels (as much as is possible) like HOME. (It has become like a kids' sitting room with games, music, TV and pool.)

Teachers who have a current DBS certificate and can volunteer a minimum of 2 weeks to work with U11s and Early Years are invited to apply using the form below.

CARE4CALAIS MOBILE ENGLISH WORKSHOPS
Care4Calais volunteers teach small groups throughout the camp. If you are interested in teaching, they would love your help. They can provide the resources for these workshops, including a series of worksheets for beginner English. You can also bring your own teaching resources if you wish. Lots of refugees really appreciate the chance to practise their language their skills, so they would really appreciate your time.
